The Love Through Crisis Fund

Love Through Crisis is a community benevolence fund that provides free professional faith-based counseling, trauma-informed therapy, and hope for first responders and their families, and those facing crisis, by removing the financial barriers that would otherwise prevent them from receiving care.

First Responders & Their Families

For the Families of Our Heroes is our way of answering the call for those who protect us. While our local first responders are out taking care of the community, this donor-funded program takes care of their homes, providing premium, cost-free counseling to their spouses and children.

Community Benevolence

For families facing crisis, serves as a lifeline for single mothers, foster and adoptive families, and local households experiencing profound crisis. Your gift ensures they have immediate access to elite relational and psychological care without the burden of a bill.

Our Heart for Families in Crisis

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world"  ~James 1:27

"You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror."  ~Psalms 10:17 - 18

Donations, Sponsors, and Supporters

When crisis hits, financial barriers shouldn't stand in the way of mental and emotional healing. Thanks to the vital support of our donors, we offer completely free, professional counseling through two targeted funds.

Marion County Hospital Distric

My Life Counsel's Benevolence fund received a significant blessing from Marion County Hospital District (MCHD) in the form of a grant that served around 100 families, or approximately 625 people, each year. This fully funded program guaranteed free face-to-face therapy and parenting courses (unlimited weekly access) for crisis and trauma-experienced families.

I spent years bottling everything up. Eventually the anxiety and the anger started taking over and I wasn’t sleeping at all. Working with a counselor finally let me get that weight off my shoulders. It didn’t just help me process the past, it gave me actual tools to get my life back on track. It was a total turning point for me.

When my husband left, my world felt like it was falling apart. I was terrified, overwhelmed, and just trying to keep it together for the kids. Having a counselor in our corner  was a lifesaver. They reminded us that we didn't have to carry that burden alone, and that restored our faith and  gave us hope.

Single Mother in Crisis

This job puts a massive strain on everything, especially at home. My spouse and I were just drifting further and further apart and we felt like we had lost the manual on how to talk to each other. Getting some outside help allowed us to stop the cycle, rebuild some trust, and actually feel like a team again.

Our teen was just slipping away. The anxiety and anger were so thick in our house that we couldn’t get through to them. We were all shutting down. Counseling was the bridge we needed. It helped us lower the temperature, learn how to listen again, and actually start building a healthier, more honest relationship.

Family Crisis

When someone in your family is struggling, it doesn’t just affect them, it impacts everyone under the roof. It was suffocating for a while. Counseling helped us stop walking on eggshells, start understanding what the other person was actually going through, and finally gave us some breathing room and hope.

First Responder's Spouse

Let’s be honest, raising grandchildren is not what we planned for this stage of our lives. The stress of it was catching up to us fast. Counseling helped us get our heads above water, gave us some perspective on the hard emotions we were all feeling, and helped us find the confidence to handle the day to day challenges.”

Kinship Family In Crisis

For the longest time I felt like I was drowning, just trying to hold the family together while watching my husband struggle and not knowing how to reach him. This gave us a safe space to stop fighting, look at each other again, and figure out how to find our way back to the relationship we used to have.

First Responder's Family

Losing my wife so suddenly felt like the floor dropped out from under us. My kids and I were just spinning. Trying to navigate that kind of grief on my own felt impossible. Counseling gave us a place to be real about our loss and helped us start the slow process of figuring out what our life looks like now.
